Pull your finger out then! best £370 your ever spend :driver:
-
I bought one with this offer. Well worth it! Hopeless in the wet snow we had last week - wheelspin in 5th! :driver:
-
personally id continue saving and go revo, or see what shark performance has to offer.
Just from my personal experiences

If you want something to make your car go faster than it is then do it.
If you want to ring every last horsepower out your car then go elsewhere. Some of the alternatives have other benefits but as a performance bolt-on I think Bluefin is pretty good.
-
is it quite easy to revert back to standard and back for servicing and snowy roads?
-
Or go to R-tech, AMD, PDT etc and get one of they're own maps for even cheaper? Only benefit of BF is that it can be taken off for servicing etc :happy2:

Yup 10-15 mins. :happy2:
-
I think for anyone in warranty the Bluefin is a good deal. The ability to put to standard or remap yourself for £365 all in is a good deal.
-
well I've ordered mine, But after a conversation with my insurance company ,they wont insure me, so ill have to wait until March when my renewal is due and try somewhere else! bit gutted! :sad1:
-
A certain well known VW dealership in London offers Bluefin or a Custom Superchips Map with a full dealership 3 year warranty which runs concurrently with VW's for £750.
-
can someone tell me does the 7 day trial start from when you download your new map, as i wont be installing until March?
-
I would give JKM a call to be honest rather than misinform you.

I would think it will be from delivery date.
Even though the unit wouldn't be used till you download the map I bet its from purchase.
-
Just to let you guys know, i rang JKM and they said its 7 days from date or purchase.
so my options are to loose a years no claims if i cancel my policy and get insurance that will cover the remap, or wait until March to install and hope it all works great.
probably go with the later, but I'm itching to open it and install it. I best burry it at the back of the cupboard, and start counting down the days!
thanks for your replies guys. :happy2:
oh by the way will i have to ring super chips before and let them know i have a DSG car
-
Or get it put it on try it a day or so then revert back to standard till March?

Or you could use a private road to test the bluefin (I've heard loads of people on here have one :scared: )
Then flash it back to standard after to keep your policy valid?
-
is it worth telling superchips that my car is a DSG or is it the same map for a manual/DSG?
-
Anyone tried the VWR stage 1 ?
Can we have a poll for who used which upgrade ?
Im looking at Shark and JBS because they local... any input would be good, BLUEFIN for £365 sounds great

Yeah make sure you tell them its DSG or you'll have problems.
Have you uploaded your map yet?

Nope not yet, going to wait until insurance renewal in March as existing company won't cover me.
But saying that waiting for that extra years no claims makes a difference of £1 on quotes I'm looking at now.
-
It's not worth losing a years no claims for 2 or 3 months.
I would upload your map and give it a go then revert back to standard. Saying that there's a few people running maps etc and no told their insurance.

I just took advantage of this offer. Couldn't help myself!
By the sound of what you guys are saying I'll never look back. :happy2:
Has anyone ever had any premature mechanical problems, wear or failure's because of a STAGE 1 remap due to the increase in power?
Cheers.
-
I ran revo stage 2 on my last tfsi and never had any problems whatsoever and kept it till 45k and the new owner is still happy with it.
