Title: Clicking noise by Drivers headlight
Post by: djones80 on December 25, 2011, 11:35:31 pm
Hi!

Just went out to try to get my RNS510 to display speed camera's (didn't work), but while I was out there I noticed a loud clicking by the driver' headlight while the ignition was on, without the car running.
Had a quick look with a torch, couldn't see anything out of the ordinary.
Any idea's anyone?

Dave

The cambelt is behind the headlight roughly, could it be this?  When was it last done?

It won't be the cambelt when the engine isn't running mate. I get a clicking noise from my passenger side which is annoying to say the least.

I missed that bit, yeah not cambelt. The clicking from the passenger side could be the air on, mine makes clicky sounds.

Thanks!
I think it's got something to do with the headlight, well, that's where the noise is coming from at least. Probably the motor for the headlight adjusting motion? Dunno, I'll have a look at it when its a bit warmer (the wind is freezzziinnnggggggg )
I don't think it's the cambelt tho, that was replaced about 5000 miles ago (before I bought the car)!!
