Title: Detail My Ride vs Nissan GT-R

Hi Chaps,

I have been looking forward to this since the client booked the detail a few weeks ago, having seen the GT-R at the British International Motorshow last year, it soon became one of my favourite cars, the presence of it is just unbelievable.

After a discussion with the owner, it was decided the best option was to go for a Protection Detail, and for him then to maintain that himself once it had been detailed. Being Silver, correction was not really at the top of his priorities, rather the car just looking as presentable as possible.

The car was treated to an New Car Protection Detail, which included:

• 21 Step Wash Process, including Wheels, Paintwork, and Door Shuts
• Paintwork Cleansed, using Dodo Juice Lime Prime, via Microfibre Applicator, allowed to haze for 1-2 minutes before being buffed off
• 2x layers of Dodo Juice Supernatural, applied via Blackfire Ultimate LSP Applicator around 1 hour was left between each layer
• 1x application of Dodo Juice Red Mist, final layer of Supernatural was allowed 1 hour to cure before applying
• Wheels sealed inside and out, using a Wheel Sealant (Currently testing)
• Extras, including Glass, Exhaust, Plastics etc
• Full Interior Detail, including Full LTT Leather Treatment

Very Impressive!

I've heard that its bad to directly apply a pressure washer to the side walls of a tyre - is there any truth in that statement?

Also, did the owner take you for a spin in the car?? I hope so  :smiley: :smiley:

I feel gorged on GT-R pics now Gaz! I can vouch for the fact this thing looked stunning in the flesh, and also HUGE! I saw one at the Motor Show but up close it was just so imposing! The wheels looked mahoosive with those cheeky Brembo's peekin through!!

Nice work there Gaz  :happy2: Not the best car youv'e worked on recently!  :wink: :laugh:

I was on Ladypool Road in Birmingham last Monday and I saw that car go past - recognised the number plate  :wink:  All I thought at the time was, 'please stop, so I can get a good look' but he didn't  :sad:

Is it ok bladdering the caliper in wheel cleaner, is there not a risk of emoving the grease that's supposed to be in there? My mind says to avoid doing it, maybe I'm just being over-cautious??

It's ok to wash them and use a certain amount of wheel cleaner - but like you say... bladdering them in the stuff isn't recommended  :happy2:

Im not normally a fan of Jap cars but that is  :drool: I saw a black one last year in London and it was awesome! :happy2:
