Just driving home and an indicator came on the dash which was a light bulb with an ! in it, light bulb failure, pull over and its the rear passenger side brake light. Nip to Halfords and low & behold the bl00dy bulb thing has been nicked (only around here!). So using my powers of guess work i grabbed a 21W bayonet fitment single element type 382 bulb, is this correct? If not what will i need for an 05 plate GTI?
Also as its very dark outside and i havent done this before, im assuming that i just pull the carpet back as per usual and nothing to fancy?
Thanks in advance :happy2:

Pretty straight forward to remove the light from the car...... Pull carpet back and use the spanner in the spare wheel to undo the two fixing bolts, make sure you support the light as after the 2 bolts are off its only held on by the electrical plug..... unplug this by using the screw driver in the spare wheel to release the tab and pull the light off the car..... gently release all the plastic tabs that hold the bulb carrier to the light and change bulb and reverse to re assemble :happy2:

Definitely a 382 as I had to buy one yesterday for my car! :happy2: (passenger side brake light!) £3.49 I think it was for the pack with 2 bulbs... I did the driver's side as well so its one less job to do in the future... :drinking:
