I have been doing some research into this and would just like to confirm a few things.
1. It's a direct swap, excepting for the 2 wires which need moving due to the CD player I have in the armrest
2. I can fit the RNS 510 and not need to do any coding, but it might throw up errors which you cannot see unless you use VCDS?
3. The GPS antenna that is in the car from factory will be fine with the RNS 510
Is there anything else I need to know about? I will be buying VCDS during the week, but have this unit sitting here gathering dust at this point and have some time on my hands tomorrow so figured why not.

Anybody?

just fit it, any faults you can clear when you get vcds. Do you have the diversity box under the drivers seat? you will need to bypass that if you do.
GPS antenna will be fine
RNS will work fine providing it has not been coded for sound processor

Thanks Ed, much appreciated.
I decided what the heck and fitted it earlier before I went out. Problem is, the CD multiplayer in the armrest won't work. When I switch to Aux, it makes this awful sound, no music???? I did change the pins over, yellow to pin 1 and grey to pin 7. What could be the problem?
From the images I have seen, I did have a few more wires than in the pics though.

Anybody have a clear idea which wires need to change to where? It seems that the way I have done it is incorrect, but I cannot find a definitive answer? Problem being now I cannot recall where the wires were in the first place either.
Thanks

It might need coding in the RNS for the CD changer

By the looks of it, the how to I used had different wiring. It seems all you have to do is change the black wire from pin 3 to pin 2. I changed the yellow wire and the grey wire to pins 7 & 1 respectively. I will leave it as is, and change it all over next weekend when I do the Bluetooth. Hopefully that will sort the issue.
