Title: Thieving Scum - Rear Bumper (Lower Section)
Post by: Billbo on January 02, 2012, 10:01:41 pm
Happy new year to all.

Not a great start for me as last night someone decided that they needed my rear bumper more than I do and removed it while we were sleeping . They took the time to separate the lower section and even kept all the fasteners. Does anyone have an idea how much this lower section would cost including spraying Diamond Black? It’s a 56 plate R32. I just want a rough idea before I decide to make a claim on the insurance.

Many thanks

Chris

For the rear lower it will probably cost about £300/£400 depending if you can find one second hand on ebay and get it sprayed up.
Sorry to hear about the theft though. Absolutely amazes me the levels some people stoop to.
And it will more than likely be someone who knows someone who wanted that part, would love to get hands on if I found them!

Sorry to hear about this.

Reminds me of the time when a fellow forumite had his ed30's front splitter stolen from the car when it was parked outside his house!

I wonder where the seller got them from? Stolen, perhaps...??

Terrible news!

If it helps a genuine black r32 bumper just or listed on eBay. Comes with the exhaust but you may be able to do a deal with the seller if you are lucky  :happy2:

Thieving scum bags, maybe when you have the new opne fitted you could ask them to use 3 different sized torq bolts for the bolts attaching to main bumper, that might put them off or least make it harder to remove!.

Sorry to hear and hope you find one cheap!

i sympathise with u mate, probably cheaper not going thru your insurance. Its amazing the length some scumbags go to, pity u didnt have a large hungry dog out at the time, oh i forgot!!!!! u would have been charged with letting your dog loose on him.

Its becoming more common, next doors A3 had both door mirrors taken, damaging the door skins in the process, costly job. If you park on the road or outside you start to worry not from theft, but some retard using it as a donor .All the best  :happy2:

Unbelievable. The Arabs have got the right idea. Chop their hands off. And do the same to those who smash their car doors into our pride and-joys!
