Post by: xxx_mojo_xxx on April 18, 2009, 09:32:29 pm
Apart from the alloys looking different are the ED30 rims lighter than the 18" Monzas II?

There must be something special about the ED30 BBS ones... mind you I do prefer the look of the Monzas though...

Remember monza  2's are also BBS and they made alot of fuss about them using hollow rim technology so would imagine they are lighter than the pescaras

My aching back told me the monzas were a little lighter and a little easier to handle than the pescaras. :chicken:

The monzas do suit the Golf GTI, however the Edition/BBS CH wins hands down in terms of style.

Don't you think the ED30 rims are a bit "old school/retro".

The Monzas on the other hand are a new and fresh design - I haven't come across anything that looks remotely similar...

 No

But they hold/gather the crap in the pockets between the spokes....

Not a fan of the ed30 wheels, need to be 19" in that style, they just look too small in 18". I'd take 18" monza's above any for the gti. No wheel grabs more attention IMO

Ed30 wheels, real grower those rims, they'd be more future mrs wigit proof, monza 2's and her would not agree with each other

The 18" Monzas aren't that common...  the Pescaros are as only as limited as there are ED30.  :fighting:

Pescaras for me, but that makes sense as i have the ED30, would probably still want Pescaras to if i had normal Gti, the Monzas are a tad chunky for me, if i wanted aftermarket i would go for BBS CK's in Anthracite for candy white, and most other colours would make me get bright silver or even ball polished finish  :happy2:
