I know this is different for everybody, but I was just wondering what fuel cost people on here are living with.
As my fuel spend per month is £280 is it time to go to the dark side and get a diesel :s my mpg is around 30
-
Usually about £160 - £240 per month.
1200 - 1800 miles.
But im on the dark side you speak of
-
you have to cut your cloth accordingly, i like to think would never have to turn to the darkside but I only work 3 miles from my house.
if circs changed and i had to drive into the city everyday then I daresay the Gti would become too expensive to run. Only you know what your budget is and what your annual mileage is?
On th eplus side if you could stretch to an early MK6 GTD am sure would be a great car to soften the blow with
-
about £350 - £400 a month
should really have a diesel but dont think i could get one
-
Gotta be around 400ish i would think...
-
Anything between £380 and £420 but this also includes the wifes diesel Leon too.

£70 average per month, averaging 30mpg in the Ed30, only do around 330 miles per month.
I work from home, so most of my mileage is accumulated with visiting friends on jaunts upto manchester, otherwise its just pretty much going to local golf club and back 3 days a week (4 mile round trip)
-
£400-450 a month :driver:
-
Depends how much I'm at work but normally average £140 a month (2tanks) but when I have a week or 2 off I can easily do that in a week lol
-
About £30 per month.
Walk to work. Last time i filled up the tiny little 35 litre tank on our Fiat 500, it lasted 2 months.
-
December was £800 for me, so a quiet month :sad1:

:surprised:
That's mad Mr P.
I budget for around £300 a month. :driver:
-
about £280 every 4 weeks. usually 300 miles per tank, not great but it is a GTI
-
£80.00 a month just going to work & back & general town use.
-
mine as been nothing for 6 months :happy2:
-
used to be bugger all, around £150 a month. i can see my work from my window so only ever drove to the gym and supermarket (i don't have time for friends atm :sad1:)
BUT i've just started going out with someone and she lives quite far away so the trips to see her will soon increase my tally no doubt lol
-
anywhere between £240-£300 a month. :sad1:
-
sh*t a brick £800 a month you could prob have a Audi r8 on tick and a fait 500 to knock about in for that :D
what hurts aswell is looking to sell my gti and I will prob loose a sh*t load if I sell :( the price of these motors have dropped off a cliff!!! And with petrol prices only set to rise it's loose loose loose,
-
I'm only home 2 weeks of each month.
Usually need to fill her up twice so cost monthly roughly £150.
-
I usually fill up every 7-10 days but depends on driving style. If I were strict enough and stuck to 60mph on motorways and A-roads, reckon I could go almost two weeks without filling up.
At the mo, it's around £280 worse case scenario.
-
£350 per month average - though the last quarter has been a heavy one - got a nice fat V Power voucher for just under £20 though :happy2:
-
Was doing £50 of Tesco Momentum doing circa 240 miles a week average (4x£50 = £200 a month).
Recently started using full tanks @ £73 or so and pushing 400 miles brim to brim from a tank of mixed driving, which results in filling up every 12 days or so which I think will work out cheaper, despite spending more in one go and driving a little longer with the extra weight etc...
It's a massive play off at the moment and will only get worse and ever more present on peoples minds I'm sure :stupid:
-
On average I cover around 1100 miles per month.
With my ED30 it used to cost me around £250 per month.
I then moved to the dark side and now spend around £120 per month, covering the same miles.
Drive isn't the same, but I'm happier knowing how much I'm saving, not just with the fuel, but with the tax, insurance, and so on.
One day I'll buy a M3 as a weekend car though
-
You dont want to know!
-
December was £800 for me, so a quiet month :sad1:
Is that in the Polo GTI too Steve? :surprised: I know you have a pretty big commute though.
-
Been back in England 3.5 weeks. Ordered a new shell card when we arrived as my vpower card hasn't been used for aaaages. Have 200 points already :scared:
-
Around £150-£200 a month.
The Polo GTI saves a bit with it's better fuel consumption, but I only have to do 4.5miles to get to work too.
-
Normally between £230 and £280 a month in the ED30, thinking of going to a nice Audi A4 TDI to save on fuel in the future!
-

Used to be over £1k with the Stage 2+ Edition 30 at the peek of the fuel prices :stupid:
-
Thats nuts..... serious milage there Steve.
-
Insane Steve. I'd definitely relocate if that was my commute. It would near damn bankrupt me. I hope you get paid seriously handsomly for the distance covered. Although, i somehow think you would not be driving that far if you were not.
-
