I've currently got a set of Rainbow SLX 265 (2 Way) components supporting my front soundstage, these will be upgraded shortly for a 3 way setup..
Question is..
How is the midrange mounted? Does it require drilling in? If i remember correctly theres only a hole there with a rubber grommet/cover?
The tweeter and woofer will be simply replaced and mounted on the MDF ring, however im not too sure about the mid-range itself?
Anyone else here who've fitted a 3way setup shed any light?
Cheers

The mid-range speaker is mounted directly to the rear of the door card itself

Mounted on the door card  Surely that cant be right? If so i would be looking at mounting it on the door itself somehow (let me know if you do this Dub as im doing mine this month :wink:V)

I think mine are on door card too

Yeah its mounted on the door card.. however they need to be very shallow or they dont fit... took absolute ages to get them sitting right...

What 3 ways did you end up going for? Why did you move away from the rainbows?

A move that most will probably frown upon to be honest.. Gone from a SQ setup to more SPL orientated setup..
JBL Power series 3 ways, Vibe bullets speakers, 2 x 12" Orion HCCA's, Stinger SPV70 and a few other LOUD Goodies..
