Sometimes when I switch on my stereo, the screen displays after several seconds 'SD Card Error' which is solved by either switching off and on or removing and replacing the SD card...it happens maybe 1 out of every 3 times I switch on the stereo and I can live with it, just wondered if anyone else has this issue  it could be the SD card that I've chosen?
-
Never had this happen on mine........ have you tried another SD card instead to rule that out? worth a go mate :happy2:

Had the same thing happen with a Sandisk 8GB card but only on start up and would only go away after removing the card and reinserting it. After a couple of weeks it got a little annoying so i took a rubber to the memory card contacts and after a couple of gentle wipes, no more errors :happy2:

Did you use the 8GB card in an RCD510?
I bought a 2GB after reading in the book that 2gig is the maximum capacity

I have a 8gb Sandisk SD card in there at the moment but have also used a 16gb with out any issues.

i use a 32gb card works fine.

Nice to know... thanks chaps!

The early versions could not use SDHC cards that's why it was only up to 2GB. It changed at some point but not sure when.

I have now purchased a 16gb SDHC which works fine  takes a little longer to load up than the 2gb but this was expected
