does anyone know where the best place to buy the multi function steering wheel buttons from is??! thanks!

Found a few on eBay.de earlier as was looking into mfsw for mine.

You will have to ask if they ship to England though.

If your struggling you can always pick up cheap standard non flat bottom MFSW's off Ebay. See a few for like £80. Could always buy one, rob the buttons then sell the wheel.

Do these just plug in to an existing socket thats already in the wheel?  I've not looked to see if there's one there.  (05 GTI)

Also, is it "plug and play" with no other issues?

Depends if your car is DSG or not.

If your car is DSG and you obviously have a DSG wheel, you litterally just remove the blanks. Screw the buttons in and fit the control module and voila, done. No coding is needed. They work straight away. They did on my car anyway...

If your car isnt DSG, you will need a full MFSW. As non DSG steering wheels dont have the slots behind the blanks for the buttons to go...

Cheers, that sounds expensive as mine is not DSG.  Oh well, just have to keep twiddling the knobs then.

Theres a few new ones on ebay for around £150
