Title: Best double din head unit for my MK5?
Post by: AjayB on January 08, 2012, 10:38:31 pm
I'm after a new double din head unit, i was something that will look OEM but has a lot of punch to better the sound of my RCD300 at the moment. Don't want to spend over £300 though.

Any suggestions?

With that budget the RCD510 would be a great OEM option. I have the RNS510 which is basically the RCD510 with Sat Nav, and its a brilliant unit. Produces better sound then RCD500 I had in there originally.

Yeah i am also considering the RCD510 as it looks awesome. I've heard from a few people that it still isn't as good on the sound quality sound compared to an after market upgrade?

RCD510 !!!

For significiently better sound fit a Mk.V-specific 3-way system with DSP and amp.
