Title: Apple guros help

Hi my step son wants to buy an I book g4 or some sort of older apple computer, he has looked on eBay and they are very cheap but are they any good? I have no idea :signLOL:

I wouldn't buy an iBook G4, far better to look for a PowerBook G4. The iBook had barely any RAM. Neither will be able to run the two most recent OS revisions.

What's the budget as if you can stretch to it then i would recommend something with an intel processor just so, as Andrew has pointed out, he can run a later OS.

I would suggest looking for early Intel MacBook/MacBook Pro first. If they are out of his price range then search for a Powerbook.

I don't think you can run anything higher than OS X Leopard 10.5.8 on a Powerbook.
