Title: gt tdi 140 what oil?

hey guys

just a quick one to check with you all. i have a mk5 golf gt tdi 140 2008.

what oil do i need to top it up with ? im pritty sure its 5w30? fully synthetic???

nothing is stated in the service or technical books.

My car is on longlife service at present and that is 5w30 fully synthetic - I use castrol.

But I'm not sure if it differs if your on a variable service plan.

cheers mate, the dealer didnt write down the oil they put in it when it was last serviced.

but 5w30 fully synthetic is what i thought

5w/30 translates to VW 504 / VW 507

Just checked on my bottle  :happy2:
