I'm looking for a few thing for my car soon. There's a TPS local(ish) to me in Edinburgh. Just wondering if anybody has experience with this particular branch and what are the limits to what they sell?
What I really need is one .:R36 18 inch Omanyt alloy wheel? Do you reckon they'd be able to supply one? I do have the part number, somewhere.
Thanks in advance. :happy2:

In my experience if you have the part number and the VAG group make it. they will get it for you usually cheaper than the stealers too :happy2:
-
I believe that they supply all/most of the VAG dealers so you should be fine..
Sometimes TPS dont sell to thepublic though, well acording to there website anyway..
-
I use them at work and the last couple of bits (an engine cover and a water hose) have both been cheaper from the dealer than from TPS :surprised: for service items they are very good tho
-
TPS will beat dealer prices on everything. Myself and two of the lads at work who own Cupra R's use them as they are by far cheaper and will deliver items usually within the hour.
I got wipers all round, oil filter, sump plug and pollen filter for just under £35 last week.
Also got my passenger door latch for £30 cheaper than VW were wanting.
-
I know what TPS stands for but I don't quite understand who they are.
You see at my local dealers the parts desk is TPS so when I see posts from people saying one is cheaper than the other it doesn't make sense. I don't think I can walk in to the dealers and buy parts they will just turn me to the parts counter.
-
My local TPS is owned by the same franchise that owns the VW, AUDI, SEAT and SKODA dealership...
Funnily enough they're not keen on selling to the public and you're lucky if you manage a 10% discount!
-
TPS is run between VW UK and franchised dealers, usually you need a trade account to buy from them, but it depends on the branch if they are willing to supply to joe public
-
Great thanks. :happy2: has anybody used Edinburgh TPS as a member of the public not with a trade account?
-
TPS FTW, always use them, always cheaper than the stealer, however they generally will not sell to the public with out a part number, i.e they will not search ETKA for you....... :P
-
The manchester TPS are very good and search for bits for me! They even let me pick up some parts that the garage had ordered when my car was dead

Great,as I already have three .:R36 alloys so I have the part number: 3C0 60 1025A! Just need to give them a phone and see what price they sell them for, VW quoted me £578!! :scared: :stupid:

Honestly, TPS won't be that much cheaper I shouldn't think........eGay is your friend!

Canterbury is my local and would probably search, unless I went in there with a massive list! :innocent:
-
I saw a TPS van outside my local Garage (K. Brown Auto) so at least I know where the parts will be from when I go in may for Cambelt/Waterpump service, that was in Sunny Hunny so I guess there must be a TPS local to Kings Lynn in Norfolk?
