Hello.
Can anyone recommend me good one that works and has auto switch function please. There are plenty out there, but its a minefield. I only need a 2-1 switch, maybe 3 to be sure.
Im trying to minimise the amount of cables i need to route to my TV thats going on the wall.
Thanks
Rich

my AV company use these all the time:

good bit of kit, reliable most importantly!

I have used various switches, but not been too happy with any of them. Deided to get a full HDMI processing AV reciever, loads better.

i was about to suggest this!
i have a Onkyo Txnr509, great amp!
But obviously 100x more expensive.
If you have a richersounds near you nip in and ask them their advice on hdmi switches

Employ a man servant to unplug the HDMI lead and re-connect into whichever device you require, you can then have him whip up some Gentleman's relish and toast for a tasty treat during TV watching :happy2:

Not a bad idea. Do i have to keep them fed and watered? Whats the upkeep cost on these? :signLOL:

Surprisingly frugal mate! Keep him in a cupboard and throw some scraps in now and then, defo cheaper to run than an ed30

Before I bought an onkyo amp I was using a switch from maplins. Worked fine for what I needed it for and switched when the other device was turned on. Also had a remote to switch as well. It's just stuck in the garage not being used if you want it?

That would be awesome Alex, thanks. How much do you want for it. Send me a PM. :happy2:
I only have 1 HMDI device so far (PS3), but the plan is to get a Apple TV for the lounge install. :happy2:

I may get flamed for this but I bought a really cheap one from eBay which is a 4 way. It's powered via a small transformer. It switches automatically perfectly. To the point where I have never had to use the button on the box or the remote control to use it.
It just works.

Do you have a link please Jay?

I bought it over 90 days ago so can't see the item :(

Do you keep you eBay emails? Will be in there :-)
Or if you could take a pic of it that would be great!
Thanks

+1 for receiver albeit mine is only the blu ray cinema surround but the freesat box goes in, the console goes in and only one output to the tele. Doesn't auto switch tho

I've found the exact one i think.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3-Port-hub-splitter-switcher-1-3-HDMI-AUTO-SWITCH-/120509689433?pt=UK_ConsumerElectronics_VideoSwitches_SM&hash=item1c0eefee59#ht_8257wt_1139
It might be a slightly different model but its definitely a "neet" model, i remember the name now and the free cloth ;)

I bought the smaller 2-1 version. I have a full on Pioneer switching AMP but ran out of HDMI ports - so the Apple TV and WDTV Live share one using this little unit - it was worth a punt at 8quid and works well
got mine from ebuyer but they dont have any at the mo.

I've got this one (http://www.m-formonline.co.uk/lcd-plasma-led-wall-mounts/32-to-52-articulated-universal-lcd/plasma-bracket) anchor bolted to my wall, brilliant quality and very sturdy compared to the one arm versions you can get, had it for 2years now and had no trouble

Will see if I can find the box, think it may be "Hama" tilt and swivel type.
8mm bolt/screws solid as a rock.
