Title: Rear lettering dimensions for GTI, R32

Moschops was after this info and thought best to post it up as other will find this useful if you ever need to replace the badging after repair work etc :happy2:

Official Rear lettering dimensions for GTI, R32

• Remove protective backing immediately before installation. Working temperature approx. 21 °C
• Adhesive remover D 002 000 10 must be used exclusively.
• The lettering must be bonded in place immediately after cleaning.

1 -  Dimension a = 50 mm
- From outer edge of rear lid to lettering

2 -  Dimension b = 90 mm
- From lower edge of rear lid to lower edge of lettering

3 -  Lettering

non GTI/R32:


Official Rear lettering dimensions


1 -  Dimension a = 50 mm
- From outer edge of rear lid to lettering

2 -  Dimension b = 90 mm
- From lower edge of rear lid to lower edge of lettering

3 -  Lettering
- Model designation

4 -  Lettering
- Engine designation

Good to know! I've just sprayed my 'GTI' badge black, so will follow these guidelines when putting it back on!  :happy2:

very handy this, i measured toms ed30 when i did mine. managed to get it bang on with some masking tape! ;)
