Title: Scratched lights
Post by: suave on January 19, 2012, 09:50:40 am
Could someone please recommend what sandpaper i need to get to wet sand the scratches from my rear lights?

Do i just need two sheets of paper then machine polish them after sanding?

Any help would be greatly appreciated - thanks

Wouldn't it be worth trying to polish them out first - before you resort to sanding & polishing

Do you have any pictures please?  It depends how severe they are really.

Russ.

Dont have any pics Russ - never learnt how to post them despite working in IT.

I have a rotary and some compounds so could give it a try. It's just that the wet sanding option sounded starightforward to then be followed by machine polishing.

You couldnt give me a recommendation on pads/compounds to attack my paint swirls please?
