I posted this pic in another thread but I am hoping that someone can respond and help me out. I'm having problems with the emissions light due to 'Incorrect Flow'.
I checked the canister as per this thread: http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=22065.0
The hose on the canister is fine but I followed the pipe back and under the coolant sphere to find this:
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi1223.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fdd510%2Ftartanmartin85%2Fimage.jpg&hash=7a2644f7d873b38a8273fa960509cf817abde960)
To me it looks like this 'box' (what is it?) is open around the edges and the pipe to the canister has come out (white tip). Can someone check against theres and even post a picture of theirs? I'd really appreciate the help.
Cheers
Martin

Is anyone able to spare 5 minutes to take a picture and upload it please? :sad1:

I would mate, but my car has been in the garage for nearly a week for, you guessed it, the emissions warning light, and specifically the incorrect flow fault.

Thanks Andrew, I'm hoping that someone posts a picture for me. It does look very odd but unfortunately I don't have anything to compare with....
Have you had anything replaced previously for this? Do you know whether the canister or N80 are to blame yet?
-
I had the N80 replaced first, then the canister. In amongst I had the DV changed, and the PCV, and the throttle body cleaned. They think they've finally identified two split hoses, one being the breather pipe out of the PCV, and one of the hoses exiting the N80.
I'm sure it's normally more simple. I've heard of people changing just the canister, which has rectified the problem.

Wow you've been patient going through all those different items! I really hope you get a permanent fix this time! Let me know how you get on.
Any chance you could send me a picture when you get it back? It would give me a head start in finding what's caused my problem....

I'll hopefully have it back tomorrow and will definitely take a photo for you to compare to.
And yes, it has been a massive pain in the arse!
