Title: Just got an RCD510 fitted

And I frigging love it!! A huge thank you to NHN from this forum for fitting and coding for me! Great guy and very helpful! Helped me with a couple other coding tweaks! Very recommended,  :smiley: :drinking:

The sound quality compared to the RCD300 is amazing. Now to get a bluetooth kit and buy an SD card and shall be laughing!! :grin:

Check VCDS settings for radio generation III and you CAN gateway. Otherwise your RCD510 will
suck your battery till it's empty.  :wink:

If you change settings via VCDS you may set the RCD510 this way by pressing 'Setup' longer:

CAN speed (same as shown on E-MFA). I experienced it to work more precisely than
standard sat navs:

It's all good man, I updated my canbus with a new one! What settings do you have extra? Im happy as it is man!! Great piece of kit!!!

They are so good mate! I didn't want the navi and I would rather the built in 6 cd!!! So that's why I went for RCD!!

My 2008 GTI already had the right gateway, so we just had change the antenna plug
and set it to ''Gen. III'. I still don't know any details cos I went for the RCD510 in 2008.
