Title: Does a long term roof rack damage the door rubber?
Post by: Dw1 on January 22, 2012, 12:23:28 am
If you leave your roof rack on for months at a time, does it make the rubber at the top of the door permanently out of shape, as it curves around the metal hook of the roof bar base, so that when you take off the bars it doesn't return to a flush fit?

Hopefully the question makes sense.

I've got my eye on a Whispbar, think they look very good on the car, good enough to leave for a few months at a time during the summer when mountain biking. I think it has a very built in, OEM look. And I've already sacrificed a degree of coolness by having a practical 5 door car
