Title: Exhaust/Wheels/Side Skirts!

Here goes...

The exhausts are filthy and never seem to come up clean...what product(s) can I get to clean them up?

Wheels have brake dust spots all over them and cant seem to shift them with standard wheel cleaner...product suggestion??

The side skirts are covered in glue and tar spots what can I use on them?


Someone suggested a claying kit for the wheels...suggestions please?

3M clay, good for anything!

AutoGlym tar remover will do the plastics nicely, after claying the wheels, slap a good few coats of wheel wax on them too. From then on Bilberry wheel cleaner is probably the best I've used.

Autosol for the exhaust, if its really bad you can use 00 grade wire wool too  :happy2:

Hi Steve,

For the Exhaust... Raceglaze Alutech metal polish is a fantastic product - it can be applied with a microfibre cloth or pad, or for a bit extra umph it can be used with wire wool.  Not only does it clean them up, but it also leaves a protective film to help keep them looking shiny for longer

The best products for the wheels are Bilberry for general cleaning, as Tony says, as this is the best wheel cleaner we have found - ever!  Tar and Glue remover will help and also claying the wheels will remove any baked on and etched in deposits - we do a grey clay that would be excellent as it does the job, but isn't too harsh.

Sideskirts... Tar and Glue remover again, and you can clay these as well
