Im new to this scene and tried a search.
id lije to know if doing a dsg reset will help on the initial pull off as mine seems slightly snatchy pulling on or sometimes reversing.

Could be a mechatronics issue :sick:
is your car around the 57/08 reg?

Your symptoms do sound like the Mechantronics has a problem, but it's worth trying a reset as you have nothing to loose..

Sorry to jump but I am having the same problem with my 08 model.
What is the Mechantronics that you said could be gone and what does it do?
Is it an expensive fix?

Mechatronics, control gear changes in the DSG box, its basically all the actuators that open and close clutch plates, if they are at fault you can get jerky gearchanges and if failed loss of drive, VERY expensive to fix :scared: unless you can get VW to sort it

mine only seems to somtimes have a jerky pull off when going from stand still on the brake and comming off and straight on to the accelorator. is it me going from brake to accelorator to quickly? all other gear changes are smoothe as far as i am aware

Torque through the gearbox - drive - is reduced when your foot is on the brake pedal. If you come off the brake and onto the accelerator too fast, you rush the smooth take up. Try holding the car on the handbrake and you'll feel much more of a pull. Personally, I think VAG should have included torque reduction on the handbrake, too. There's a knack to being smooth when lifting off the footbrake and applying throttle, but it soon becomes second nature.

yeah the other day i was in the car facing up hill and when i went from brake to throttle it jerked bigtime, but yesterday i did use the hand brake and it helped loads mate. i have a black code map on mine, would having a map on the car make the take off any different?
