Title: ETKA PN sticky
Post by: Tfsi_Mike on January 23, 2012, 09:12:02 pm

A sticky thread with a post for each popular model listing all the useful part numbers?

Just a thought as I'm forever pestering forum users for part numbers

Guessing he was going to create a "Virtual Machine" that's accessible over zee net with ETKA installed, not sure what the legalities in this would be though?

I'd be interested to see how he intended to set it up in regards to hosting an actual VM or if it would be something based on Citrix etc.

I could set up a machine here at work with it installed on and stick it on something like LogMeIn as I work in a school the network is always on obviously but obviously it wouldn't be able to have multiple users on at once and I would have to see about permissions so people can't go deleting files or saving un-wanted content etc or turning the machine of for example!

Something I'd have to look into this end in regards to our networks security also!

This would be illegal as ETKA is a licensed product so please don't discuss this on the site anymore.

What about a thread sharing common P/Ns?

That's fine, the FAQ section already has some bits and bobs around this.

I have used the FAQ for ETKA requests, maybe we just need to tell people to use that?  :happy2:

I have the programme to easily create a simple tree menu such as this - http://www.sothink.com/product/treemenu/samples/basic/basic.htm

Which we could do split it into sections such as Interior, Exterior, mechanical, Electric etc and have sub sections and then the part numbers there?

I don't mind setting it up but it may take me a little while? Then just add a custom page to the Nav Menu with the coding inside it?
