Title: mk6 Brake upgrade

i would consider an S3/R32 brake upgrade but don't know how it would affect my car with the XDS which is a pretend 'diff' sing the brakes

also my car has hill hold assist so don't know if it would make swapping calipers an issue?


as an alternative does anyone know a good disc and pad upgrade using the standard calipers?


I'm used to the stopping power of my clio 197 on brembos which were epic. i find the GTI brakes quite poor in comparison so would like to beef them up a bit.

any suggestions


i know there are lots of threads on brakes on here but the mk6 is slightly different due to the HHA and XDS.

No issue at all. You vcan even increase XDS setting to the Scirocco R settings via VCDS
(not neccessary).

Go for Tarox Zero, F2000 oder G88 and at least Ferodo DS Performance for road use
and fit the bronze caliper bushes (brake stiffening kit) for better pedal feel.

Try a Google + forum search for these parts.

think of a NQSBBK instead of the heavy S3 brake  :wink:

already have XDS set to setting 2. been running it for a few weeks now

I'm going to experiment with brake assist on setting 2 also

will look into the stiffening kit as the pedal feels sh!t IMO

can't find these anywhere!
