Title: Electronic Diff Lock + ESP
Post by: vRSAlex on January 24, 2012, 08:16:07 pm
I have always wanted to fully deactivate these two annoying features on my car and customers cars, but there is bugger all info about how to do this.

Anyone know a way?

It was called EDL on the MK5 then XDS on the MK6's.  The group have been using it for years and its always got in the way.  On the MK4 Golf, Ibiza MK3 etc it could be coded out, but Ross Tech have no info on the newer ABS coding.

Unplug the ABS module, leaves you with Christmas tree style dash and no ABS or traction control though.

Has anyone tried accessing the map on the abs ecu?  Do you have a way?

Never tried, although if someone has one to send I am sure the chipsets can be de-soldered and read using my chip programmer.
