Looking to get some colour coding done and want to get the lower sections of the front splitter and rear bumper in gloss black, aswell as the mirrors and roof.
Now for the questions:
Can the vinyl be applied to the textured plastic or would it be better to get lower parts of the front splitter and rear bumper painted and then apply the vinyl?
The mirror covers would have to be painted as the shape of the covers would be too complex to wrap, wouldn't they?
Any ideas how much these bits of vinyl would cost?
Anyone know anywhere good in Teesside/North East to get this done?
Thanks :happy2:

Hello mate
I was talking to a mate of mine (Andy at AM Lettering & Graphics in Teesside Industrial Estate) as I saw a GTI covered in matt black vinyl on golfmkv.com. He said the whole car can be done relatively easily so the wing mirrors wouldn't cause a problem.
Give me a shout if you want his number...

....
Wing mirrors aren't a problem to do if done by a good wrapper.
Raccoon are top notch and have franchises in various parts of the UK.

The prices will be pretty similar to spraying I would have thought, especially looking at some of the price lists.

No permanent though for things like a roof or wing mirrors which is a bonus when it comes to selling the car on?

Yes I agree. Also if you already have painted front splitters, bonnets etc it can help protect them against chipping until resale time comes around.

I am thinking of getting this splitter from VW to get colour coded, does anyone know if the skirts are also available from VW?
They look as though they may be the same as these in the Jetta accessories guide where the front splitter is but there is no part number for them, are they the same?
