Title: Cats sitting on your bonnet :|
Post by: rdfcpete on January 24, 2012, 10:04:08 pm
How do you effectively prevent these from climbing up and sitting on your f**king bonnet?!  :fighting: :fighting: :fighting:

Next doors pest is a repeat offender at this and I'm noticing scratches all over the front of the car after it's enjoyed the warm bonnet  :fighting:
I wouldn't mind as much if they didn't put their claws out to travel down the car to escape once you catch them  :fighting:

What's the best policy here - does the orange peel around the garden trick still deter them?

No friendly approaches will work as I'm allergic to cats unfortunately

Thanks.

I had this a lot. I went out and bought the most powerful water gun I could find and kept it loaded by the front door. It soon learnt its lesson.

The top of my wongs are bad and always find pawprints over the bonnet up the screen and along the roof  :fighting: :fighting: :fighting: :fighting:

Hoping a correction detail gets rid of them or the worst of them at least

I don't know whether I should share the following info  :ashamed:

A friend of mine had A prob with his next door neighbours cat crawling under the front gate and $hi££ing in his flower beds everyday.
His neighbour couldn't really do anything about it, but my mate was getting more and more mad about it.

One day we were in the garden having a drink when it strolled past us both and squat down to take a dump  :jumping:

Well he picked up the cat (it was quite a friendly $hit bag and didn't object to being picked up) he went into the kitchen cupboard and grabbed the colmans English mustard.

He got a big dollop on his finger, stood the cat up, lifted its tail, and smeared the yellow gunk on the cats a-hole  :surprised:

The cats was fine......

....for about 3seconds!!! Then it started to lick its backside while running round in circles! Then it began to spit and cough and away it run.....like a bullet!

He then smeared the bottom of the gate post with the mustard as a reminder to the cooking fat not to enter his garden again!

It was quite horrific to witness but,  It really worked  :happy2:

In no way am I condoning this action!  :innocent:

You can get a "scarecrow" sprinkler for £30. Motion sensor triggers a blast. Just try to set it up so you don't get soaked on the way to the car :-) I'm going to get one for the garden stop local moggies piling up their little presents in my garden.

Yep the water gun works most of the time, when that failed I let the dog out, it aint been back since.

My mate had this issue and he got his mates dog in the garden, it pissed/marked all over the garden and no more cats (seems they dont like the smell)

I don't ever remember them making it to TV.

Still not as funny as the Banned Rainbow & Postman Pat episodes

There was one rainbow episode which was never meant to be aired and was just for fun. If you look at the regular episodes, they were innocent!

Yup that was the episode i think. Started off with Zippy peeling a banana saying as he peeled, 1 Skin, 2 Skin, 3 Skin and gets interrupted just before 4 Skin

We have problems with our neighbours cats, three of the feckers poop every where. tried everything you can buy, cat pepper/pellets but do not work. They just smell it and carry on past. Apperently you can buy lion wee-wee, that is supposed to deter them. Its never in stock at my local garden centre so it must work! My dads neighbours cat sits on his bonnet and scratched it to sh*t, as well as the windows and roof.

I've noticed a few of these around the 'old folks' house.

I presume they had issues with cats in the garden but I guess it would work as a general deterrent.

Some cracking suggestions  but unfortunately not too many that will improve the relationship with the neighbours

Do the signal deterrents work with most cats?

Get yourself a cat...

The neighborhood cats don't hang around on my drive or garden for more than a second or so, if they do then Marvin either attacks them or humps them  :happy2:

He brought a rabbit home couple of weeks back and was trying to facef**k it, he's clearly mental but in a loveable furry way

Haha, I'm allergic to cat hairs Steve otherwise that would work with some stories to tell like yourself, I'm sure

It's gotta be a lot cheaper than a cat or dog itself
