My favourite cut of pork too. I'd give a few organs to have one of these.

These cars were only bought on invitation i believe, and sold out long before they hit the roads. He even gets free storage over the winter. I think i would find 1200 squids a month from somewhere for that kind of deal. :rolleye: He is still brave driving like that on wet roads. :driver:

I always wonder how evo get away with these vids and pics, Im sure they are sensible and make sure road is empty etc, but how do you get away with pics of cars 2 foot in the air on public roads
-
Don't think it was invite as I know of one dealer who had one On order and it sat in his showroom and he has sold it a few weeks ago for a profit

There is a vid of him driving a motorsport Maclaren, at well over a hundred down country lanes. :surprised: great vid though, i will dig it out tonight.
-
You won't mate he pulled the vid
-
Is this the one that WAS on pistonheads :signLOL:
-
Yeah I tried to show you it the other day but they pulled it
-
Wasn't the winter storage due to problems with it, hence it being with Porsche for an extended stay?
-
Don't get me started on this.. :fighting: Nothing against Chris Harris at all and love his videos/road tests and the manner he conducts them in
BUT... it amazes me how motor journalists get away with wagging the tails of big power cars on the public road. Top gear is another classic with some of the stuff they get away with (but they are pretty much untouchable with the law it seems ).
Some of the speeds they get up to on back roads is laughable as well. I remember Chris Harris doing a test on a SL63 AMG a few years back and giving it beans through the first 3 and bit gears on a public A road :surprised: Doesn't take a genius to work out that he wasn't doing 60mph and if the Police were to take note it would only take the old time and distance calculations to land him in the proverbial. :scared:
But am I bitter? :fighting: Not one bit.. :signLOL:

I guess the fact is not all of them do get away with it. A few years ago Evo ran an article about things that had gone wrong on road tests. This mainly comprised of trashing cars, but one story was of an ex-Performance Car journalist who got caught doing big speeds. He had a long ban, but his conviction basically meant he was uninsurable, and his career was effectively wrecked.
