Title: Grill strip colours
Post by: lukejenks101 on January 28, 2012, 10:06:47 pm: Just after a few ideas really, what colour have some people done their grill strips? Black car preferably but doesn't matter

JPC I think did his white to show it wasn't a GTI but a diesel

I've seen one black one for a more "stealth" look, and a race car had green to match the green calipers.

Post by: monte on January 29, 2012, 10:00:08 am: Also, instead of painting it just buy a car-stripe (about 1" wide) in the colour of your choice and cover in that. Take your time, and you will be amazed how good it looks….and how easy it was to do. :happy2:

Plus unlike paint, if you get any stone chips, its removed in 5secs and you can easily redo it. Plus, I think the roll I bought on ebay was about £4 for a 10m roll. :wink:

MONTY! that looks well nice! im trying to decide what colour to get so far its either..... dark grey,silver or red

What did you paint the calipers with to get that sort of colour? I can only find limited colours for Caliper paint. I used normal aerosol on my old brembos and it was fine, would that be alright on standard calipers?

sorry mate never saw ur reply, erm i just went to Halfords n they just so happened to have the exact same colour as my grill....spose i was just lucky because they didnt haven a huge seletion

The colours standing out against the black looks brilliant.
