As the title really. Been doing it on the way to work just which prompted this post. Has happened before but is intermittent. It's on light throttle anywhwre between 1500 and 2000 rpm. It's like when I squeeze the throttle slightly it doesn't react, then when it does you get the kick. Injectors have been changed but it did it before so that rules them out. Anyone have any ideas? Cheers.

Hi,
Check the Fuel Filter. Had a Pd170 Octavia in with the same symptoms and the diesel in the Fuel Filter was like glue.
We changed the filter, sucked all the old diesel out of the filter and filled it up with 50/50 diesel/forte and put the rest of the bottle of forte in the tank.
After that, no problems :happy2:
Cheers

I have a very similar problem. Unfortunately, ive not managed to find out what it is yet.
Mine seems to do it at extreme tempretures, i.e first thing in the morning below 5 degrees or it was doing it in the summer when it was 25 degrees plus. Makes me think mine could be a sensor issue but its been in to the dealers probably 6 times and they cant seem to diagnose it.
My other thought is maybe fuel pump because mine seems to be rough on idle (Intermittently) and rough between 1200 - 1600 rpm (Again intermittently). But drives fine after 15 - 20 minutes.
Its doing my head in!
VW have changed the flywheel under warranty because they thought it was that.
Sorry i cant be of more assistance but im interested to see what anyone else thinks it could be.

Thanks for the replies. I have done abit of Googling and came up with a a couple of possible solutions. One was changing the egr gasket for one with a big hole in it to one with a small hole in it. As shown here:

But also came across a thread on Briskoda from the Shark lads saying they had found a permanent fix for this. I put a deposit down with them for remap and de-dpf at the Autosport show the other week so might be worth asking when I get it mapped if they can apply their "fix".
