Title: Squeeking noise when cold

Hi everyone,when the engine is cold(not driven for at least 4-5hrs) there is a squeaking noise come out of the front of the car,I think it's the pulleys or belt area...but after a short drive it's gone...getting very worried..anybody know what might be the problem??

Can you hear a belt 'chirp' when the engine is loaded up? ie on full lock or as you say when first starting.

i had this on mine and it was driving me crazy, took it to local garage and they said they thought it was just an old belt, forked out for new belts and changed nothing, they refunded the cost under warrenty... not sure how that works, but still no help, took it to a mates garage and it was the water pump bearing so as it was due for a new cambelt got the two done at the same time back at the dealers and it was sorted   :pomppomp: !! hope this helps!

It only happens when I first start it up in the morning,as I leave it to warm up for a few minutes on the driveway..

Cam belt tensioner is your problem as has been said :happy2:
