In america, ECS sell a set of genuine coil packs for $80
Here VW want £145 for a set.
Is there anywhere else that sell genuine ones that I'm missing?
Also as far as I'm aware the part number I'm after is 07K 905 715 F
Thanks in advance

Presumably you've checked that your current ones don't fall within the coil pack recall?
-
I phoned VW and gave them my reg and they said there are no outstanding recalls for my car.
-
phone another franchise - i had my coil packs done under recall and when i called a parts department from another group they didn't know it had been done and offered me it again... never know you might get lucky.
-
just changed my spark plugs and all my coil packs are actually the latest version (revision F) and visually look fine. no discolouration or burning like I've seen on some peoples photos.

How can you be sure that ECS have supplies of the very latest spec coils? The part number wont actually change when there was just a bad 'batch' of coils - VW themselves will know the said batches and withdraw them, aftermarket resellers usually wont (I know that both GSF and ECP have sold 'withdrawn' batches of stuff in the past!)
Don't forget also - when you buy direct from a VW stealer - the ink on the box they pack em in is more valuable than gold!
