ANYONE GOT ONE? ANY GOOD? WILL IT DO THE SAME AS ROSS-TECH?
-
anyone?

VAS5054A is a piece of kit you'd only find in a dealer surely?
-
You've been looking at this one too? :happy2:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VAS5054A-VCDS-VagCom-like-Audi-VW-Seat-Skoda-diagnos-/250985962333?pt=UK_Measuring_Tools_Levels&hash=item3a6feddb5d
Must admit, i was tempted. But not sure whether the VAS software is any better than VCDS or any more user friendly.
-
it does have the guided fault finding function that could be useful, but no mention of updates for software.
-
This is from china, you not going to get any updates or support.
There is no way the genuine VAS equipment that the dealers use is this cheap.

My advice to the OP would be to keep your eye on the VCDS section for an up and coming group buy hopefully. :happy2:

As above there are some very weak hints that its not genuine VAG 'like-Audi, VW...' in the item description and
'Our device offers the same level of functionality as dealers equipment' gives it away. If it was genuine VAG it would be stolen.

VCDS is better for non-standard coding work.
VAS is quite restrictive unless you know the long coding you want to enter. There is no long coding helper like with VCDS.

done a bit of research, it seems to be using ross-tech software copies, there is no contact address if you have problems, only a helpline email address. the positives are, anyone that has used it think its great, dont know about software upgrades, although their website says they do everything you would expect aftersales.

I have already bought it from buyobdii.com , works well and cheaper

Good old plagiarism at it's finest.
