Right i need to get my 18 monza's with grey backs (whatever they are called) refurbed later on in the year, after winter. But im thinking if i get of cheap standard vw 17 alloys to put on for a few weeks and once thats done get some winter tyres for next year . So what offset and width can i run ? Or anyone can sell me some 17 inch alloys with or without tyres. I think the best size is 7 x 17 and standard offset is Et51 for the GTI but open to suggestions

Either VW Classix or a set of 17" Monzas, either will be relatively cheap any easy to get hold of :happy2:

Will 7 x17 be fine with ET45 ? I believe it will be exactly the same in the arch as my standard 18 inch monzas
Also anyone know of any good wheel refurb places near cumbria that will do monzas with a polished face

Where abouts in Cumbria are you from?!
Apparently the place in Thursby is meant to be quite good although I've never used them

Ahh I see, i'm just north of Carlisle myself :happy2:
If you fancied packing them up and sending them away to get done, A1 in Wolverhampton get a cracking review on here. Have a look in the review section
