Title: Carbonio Intake Issues
Post by: x5pea on April 27, 2009, 11:50:35 am

Ive got one fitted to my mk5, however the flexi pipe keeps coming away from engine cover anyone else had this issue ?

It just seems too short, I thought about spacing it away where it screws into the slam panel anyone else had this issue?

....

It's quite a common issue though I've never had the problem myself - I don't know if having a (more expensive) Carbonio original is why.

Can't help you with the detail fixit but I'm sure someone will be along soon to post how. IIRC, it's a simple fix.

....Yes. The original Carbonio product and a replica sold mostly via eBay. The replica is identical according to the naked eye and all posted reports I've ever read. The original comes with a Carbonio badge.

I'll do a quick Search on this site and post more if I find something......Back soon!

Nothing about the issue found when I Searched "Carbonio". Am sure someone will post you a fix. Plenty people here have the 'replica' version.

I've got the non Carbonio and never had an issue.

Have you checked your engine cover is secure as thats the only reason I could see for it moving the flex pipe!

I think there is some degree of adjustability in the engine cover - prehaps it just wants a tweak?
