Put two new 225/40/18 sessantas on the front in november and have found the grip to be great, the problem is the tyre noise is terrible it is just as bad as the dunlop sport max I had previously. The year before I replaced the rears with continental sport contact 3 which have been fine.m

I find them to be fine on mine. You sure it isn't a wheel bearing making the noise?
-
Yeah, I'd get the tracking etc checked also. Is tyre wear even?
-
The tyre wear is even and the car passed its mot in jan12 at dealers and nothing was mentioned about wheel bearings
-
What did you have prior to the Sport Maxx?
-
I have only had the sport max fitted before

Asymmetric tyres are usually louder than say directional, but I haven't noticed Vredesteins to be exceptionally loud. Depends what you're used to, but as you say, you don't have much to compare them to!

I've noticed mine are getting louder after about 50% wear has occurred. I'm gonna switch brands to Eagle F1's next and give them a go.
grip has never been an issue with these Vreds , but your not the 1st to say this. I agree aswell.
