Have you been using wire wool?
ye run out quite quick so used a high grade sandpaper which did budge a bit but nothing like the wire wool!
-
Work on it with grades of sandpaper then polish it up when its cleaner
-
What grade would you start off on?
-
I tend to degrease first. This helps get the black crap off. Use 0000 grade wirewool. Too coarse and it'll create scratches in the metalwork. Then follow up with metal polish and a microfibre cloth.

Yep I did degrease also just must be 5 years collected up! :signLOL:
