Title: Rear wiper leaking
Post by: brough74 on February 14, 2012, 12:30:02 pm
After driving yesterday and using the rear wiper, when i parked up and opened the boot i notice the catch was damp. So after investigating today i notice theat when you use the rear wiper the fluid squirts out of the right angle part that goes through the rear wiper. So is there a kit to replace this ? or is it a new rear wiper motor ? Strange thing is that it still comes out onto the back window but the right angle part feels loose and you can wobble it

Took the motor apart today and the tube that supplies the fluid is broken. Tried to get the rest of it out and it wont move, with WD40 , hammer, screwdiver drill and a lot of other things including wood and threaded bar (and swearing). Then i tried to remove the rear wiper arm and thats stuck solid aswell again hammer spanners and allsorts in the end i had to cut it off. Still could not get the tube out in the vice. So 1 new wiper arm on order and a brand new motor.

A neighbour had her's replaced this week, the pipe had split and was leaking into the boot. £50 fix at the dealers, as it wasn't covered under the extended warranty.
