Title: Alloy wheel refurb, Surrey, S London ** Photos added**

These guys are in Coulsdon, Surrey.  They have all the equipment and knowledge of larger outfits like Lepsons, but on a smaller scale.  They're also considerably cheaper and with a shorter wait for a 'drive-in/drive out' service.  They'll diamond cut if you insist, but they're honest enough to advise against it.  I went for smoked chrome powdercoat (they call it black chrome because it uses black primer), and it looks superb.  They're friendly and helpful.
I ordered a set of Michelin PS3s from http://www.topmarkstyres.co.uk/ (http://www.topmarkstyres.co.uk/) at internet prices.  Premier collected and fitted them.
Premier are tucked away but worth searching out.  I'll be posting pictures of the wheels when the car's clean and the weather improves!

Depends on what you want, and how badly damaged they were.  £60 + VAT per wheel is a guide, so £288 all in for a set of 4.  That's drive-in, drive-out, remember.  Mine were slightly cheaper, as they had an offer on.

Sorry - I didn't ask, but you should phone Premier if they're convenient for you.  I expect they'll advise you against it, 'cos they only go again once the laquer's been damaged.

As promised, now I've had a chance to wave a hose over the car, some photos:
With the sun on it:

There's a really deep finish to the wheels, even more so than the original diamond cut.  I'm told that they catch the light on the move, but there's no way anyone else is getting the keys, so I'll have to miss out on that treat!

Hi, your wheels look great  :happy2:

You say 'drive in drive out' service, presume this is just for painting or does this also include powder coating?

I would like to get my pescara's powder coated but can't afford the wheels of my car as it's in constant use......not fortunate enough to have a spare set  :sad1:

Hi Gladiator - I'm getting my Pescara's fully refurbed and powder-coated matt black in mid-March at a company in Birmingham called Lap Tab - quote was similar to the numbers quoted above and is a single day turnaround (as I also don't have a second set of wheels).  Will let you know how I get on and happy to post some pics afterwards.  Not sure where you are located.  They do need the car for a full day though - circa 8am-4:30pm...

Thanks!  I was originally quoted £60, but I think Premier lowered their prices to £55 afterwards.  They were decent enough to tell me (I hadn't checked again), and charged me the lower rate.
By 'drive in-drive out', I simply mean that they removed and refitted the wheels and tyres.  This includes powder-coating like mine.  I may be wrong, but I'd be surprised if it can be done in a day - surely you want the primer to dry properly before the powdercoat goes on, and then that needs to dry before you refit the tyres?  They quoted two to three days and did it in two.
If I'm starting to sound like an advert, I didn't get a special deal, and nor do I know or work for them!

Hi - me again, had my wheels done at Lap Tab yesterday - took all day - but the results are great.  Really pleased with the finish and the service received.  The picture does not really do them justice but I'll try to give the car a clean and get some better pics up on the weekend.  Definitely post up some pics of yours when you get the wheels done!  :happy2:
