Quick one, I have a sharks fin on the roof and my GPS connects to that.
If you have the Antenna below (GTI 2007) does the RNS also clip to this? or will you need one of the square (seperate) GPS receivers?

You'll need a separate GPS receiver
Its the Fin+Beesting on later models, or the fin on earlier models that has GPS integrated.
-
Cool - anyreason WHY the decided to remove them (later models) I thought it would be the other way round - later models started to have them fitted
-
They only ever had them if the car was fitted with GPS from factory
Early cars had a Fin for radio/GPS/telephone
Later cars had a Fin with a beesting for radio/GPS/telephone
If they had just a beesting like pictured, its just radio
The reason for changing from a nice tidy fin to one with a separate beesting is rather odd, but probably a cost saving exercise
-
Arrrr right!
I have sharks fin 2004 - two lines. One for radio one for GPS. If you fit a phone (bluetooth) where would the other line/connector be? or does is just use the two lines that are already in the RNS?

I have to correct you, the early models didn't have radio in the sharkfin , they had 2 antennas in the boot window

Aux. heater remote and GPS :happy2:

Bingo :happy2: Mine is earlier one - and has RNS as standard and aux heater - that will explain it
