Title: xenons to halogens and vcds coding

I know that when going from halogens to xenons you need to change the settings in vcds.

I'm fixing the wiring on mine from a previous owner and putting halogens back in, so the question is do I need vcds to change some settings or will I be ok?

You need to change the long coding - disable xenons with auto leveling.

cheers for the help, will need to find vcds in the area or hope the group buy comes through soon

I will be selling the xenons, yes.

Unsure if they are genuine but I'm 99% sure they are. Will find out once removed.

I'll let you both know as and when.

you'll probably get quite a few errors..... due in part to the fact that when you change to 'normal halogen', the CAN expects to see the manual levelling system.....

the car has the levelling system as it used to be halogen. so i should be all good on that one. :happy2:

at the minute with the previous owners bodged efforts, to get xenons onto the car, i get both main lights throwing an error and both parking lights and only the left side xenon shutter is wired up :rolleye:

he used the brilliant twist and tape method of wiring in 12pin xenon plugs :sick:. i'm going to use the solder the wires together method having made up some new 10pin plugs with the correct colour wires  :wink:
