That's because she isn't  :signLOL:

She's a Feb 56 classic now mate.

She's not bad for an old girl.

Not sure what you mean.  They are a bit oxidised, and look slightly aged, bit of polish would bring them right up.  No joke meant or offence taken.

They do need it, she's done 60k on them. Couldn't be asked to take the wheels off today

I wish I could splash out on getting them put back to new condition but alas at this time, bank balance is looking abit like our local reservoir  :sad1:

Buy a cheap pair from the ads on here.  And slow time use some polish and slowly do them up.  Quite a few sets up for sale from time to time.

Mr B may be able to help.

.
Wow! Very nice pics, Steve - New camera much better, eh.

Why is it that although I don't like bra's on cars, it looks good in these pics  :surprised:

Love the shiny black touches throughout interior and exterior - Very subtle and very stylish as an overall package.  :notworthy:

yes mate, she'll be in better order by then, as in 2 weeks time, she's having the bonnet and front wings sorted, getting rid of those annoying stone chips once and for all.

my Detailer has plans , he wants to put the car on the Show n shine shows ... He thinks it's good enough to, but I don't think she is personally, but he's confident

Looking good Steve  :happy2:

What other products were used other than SRP? Do you have an arch dressing?

No the arch's werent done on this occasion, but when she had a days detailing session a month or so ago, i seem to remember the arches were sprayed with Autoglm's Black Dye, this was after they were Pressure washed thoroughly and Snow'd etc.  :happy2:

I used Megs detailing spray before i Put on the SRP, only managed to put one coat on, but it was mainly a top up.

The last Clean up she had i used the following on her..

Pressure wash car
Snow foam
Rinse.
Meguiar's V2 Dual action polisher with Meguiar'sUltimate compound
Poorboys Professional polish
Autobrite Extreme Glaze
Poorboys Blue Natty wax
Meguiar's Endurance tyre dressing
Autoglym Fast Glass cleaner
and a few other little tidying bits.

or have a look at the thread posted on DW..

http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=246929

There will be a thread posted once the stonechips have been removed in a couple of weeks, sort of before/after on the bonnet etc.

 :happy2:

An arch dressing makes a big difference in my eyes. Some CG bare bones or Megs all seasons is what I normally use  :happy2:

Wow! Feckin' stunning car mate! I love the details , Black mirrors , Wheels , Bra and pressed plates , all go together to make this Eddy a pure stunner! Ive got a TR GTI and feel your pain about the stonechips - I Ideally wanted a White one , I reckon if I do another 50K miles without getting it resprayed then the front third of the car will be white by then anyway!

Im gonna give the stone chip repair a go before respraying as a last resort, the paint will only be softer if your adding layers to it.

Because TR is a flat colour, its reletively easy to repair by Wet sand and Polish to get her looking more pleasing to the mind.. :happy2:

and thankyou for your kind words

Really like the black gloss touches, thinking of doing the same but keep in the original alloys, do you think I should paint these balck or keep grey?

Me personally, would buy some VZ's in Anthracite grey and keep the Pescara's aside, as the Offset on the VZ's sit better and the stance with the colour change would suit better personally. Or you could sell the Pescy's to fund the VZ's.

Oh I never thought about the repair method! Yes that would be preferable as I dont like non factory paint! I think Im going to go for a set of Anthracite BBS VZ033 wheels though , so paint repair will have to wait! PS Youre welcome.  :happy2:

I will be posting another thread next weekend, as my wings and bonnet are going to be Wet sanded, filled and major machine polished to bring her back to new condition by a local Paint detailer. So watch this space for results  :happy2:
