That doesn't seem a lot of money at all for a genuine Touring car!!

Mostly the 500-600 hours labour to prep/weld the shell. :happy2:

Well second hand BTCC cars usually sell for 50 grand or more, suggesting the engine (and gearbox, I just noticed this has a manual) must account for over half the cost?

Great for a track car, but I would rather worm the dog (By hand) than be seen driving that on a public road :P

It still has everything else except the engine. The suspension alone would be a fair chunk along with the brakes etc.

Not really. Quite a lot of the current BTCC cars use off the shelf suspension kits probably due to them being based on production cars.
Brakes see Prof. Friction. :wink:
