All 6R4s are V6s the prototype was a V8 rover engine cut down, i can remember (i was only 8 at the time) going to a motorsport auction somewhere and there being row after row of 6R4s being sold for 11k each (bear in mind at the time a 1.3 escort was about 5k brand new) if only id got my dad to buy one and leave it in the garage :stupid:

No iirc the prototype is in a motor museam somewhere, my ex boss had a 6R4 we used for sprints it was great fun although when we had to have the box rebuilt it was a bit of a pig to get out no change from 10k and we had to replace the wheel bolts aswell (due to stress) £200 a corner, what was sold and made way for a darian, steve has always said he should have kept it :stupid:

A bit of tuning they can do 0-60 in 4 seconds not bad for a 26 year old car

I remember driving a couple of these around the Boreham test track  :P
A std RHD version that has gearlox problems, so I was then allowed to take out Stuart Turners LHD modified RS200
VERY quick back in 1985.

We also got a ride as a passenger in the yet to be announced Sierra RS500 ..... with no other than Penti (Arrikala) at the wheel :jumping:

Why has the car above got a 1994 registration on it when the advert says "Reg. Date:    10 Mar 1986" ??
