Hi,
I'm hoping someone can put my mind at rest! I'm soooooo pissed off.
Yesterday the wind blew my door onto the house wall, not hard and initially I thought it was just a couple of chips on the edge.
I've today noticed there's a small dent/crease on the edge of the drivers door.
Will a dent guy be able to get it out???
It's a 56 reg 3 door .
I've seen pics of the odd car on dent websites with similar dents removed . Anyone had one done on a golf?
Cheers

I had a dent in my door for ages that i thought wouldn't come out but a dent company got it out and you can't tell
-
Dead easy... i took one out myself on my old mk5.
On the edge of the door there is a plastic strip, remove that and you can get better access to the back off the panel edge.
-
How do you remove the plastic strip please??? Is it a long job?
Any helps appreciated!
Im soooooo glad you think a dent guy can fix it, I wouldn't dare myself.
I'm pissed off to be honest. It's my dream car and I've saved damn hard to buy it.
Love the golf!
" off topic but I want some 18" bbs, anthracite or silver is the question?????"

1minute... it just pulls off
I took mine out with a piece of wood and a hammer. :signLOL:

As rich said, can gain access easily. And to be fair taking whole skin off isnt that hard if your handy with stuff like that. I had issue with lock on mine and door skin has to come off.

Did you just tap the wood lightly in the spot central to the dent? I'm thinking of having a go myself.
-
Yes. Place the black of wood up against the inside lip and tap the piece of wood with a hammer. Go slowly. You might need to tap the skin on the door from the outside too to get rid of the crease.

:scared:
I'll have a go at that tomorrow then!
Thanks Rich.
:happy2:

I bottled it! :signLOL:
Couldnt get the time out of my head when I tried a similar thing on a sheet of metal on a gate and the paint cracked!
I'll let the dentman take the risk!

You won't crack the paint unless your particularly ham fisted ;-)

Your "don't blame me if you cak it up" got me nervous Rich!
I don't want to risk a 500 quid bill for the sake of a 75 quid job! I've got a chap lined up to come and sort my other ding, so he can do it!
