Title: Start up exhaust noise

I was wondering if most mk5 gti's make a slight exhaust popping/burbling sound when started?

Yes. When it starts up for from cold it's in 'high idle' mode, you will notice after 30 seconds the revs drop and the exhaust note reduces ok volume.

When I have my GT and it was winter 2 yonks ago I thought my car was going to explode. start up was very loud the after a good 30 secs it would fade to a respectable level.
