Title: Problem with wipers...
Post by: AjayB on February 27, 2012, 12:31:06 am
HI guys, just a quick question. Should my wipers when position in the 'Auto' mode stop wiping when i come to a stop? for example if they have been activated by the rain and i come to a set of traffic lights and become stationary. I'm sure mine used to do this and now they don't seem to do it :( and also the rear wiper doesn't do the one wipe when i put the car in reverse? are these all changeable via VCDS? I ask this as i think the problems only started when i changed the Central Electronics Control Module. If it is changeable can anyone shed some light on where i can find the settings?

Thanks

Ajay

Have you tried adjusting the sensitivity using the switch for the intermittent timing? If you turn it to the far left it makes a huge difference.

Cheers for the reply Phil, hopefully this is the problem and nothing is wrong physically. Does anyone have a VCDS in the Leeds/Bradford area that could maybe do the changes for me? In regards to the wiper stalk, this has no affect on the issue that i'm facing. Thanks for the suggestion though lad!  :happy2:
