Post by: Gazzgti on February 27, 2012, 07:39:00 pm
Thinking of having a go at this myself. Anyone got any tips?

Ideally remove the splitter from the vehicle. Prep is 90% of all paint work and the key to a good finish. Ensure this is done correctly and you should be ok. Mask up all areas carefully. Time spent in these areas will be well worth it.

High build would be best. Few good coats with sanding in between. Standard primer after with wet sand. Paint, then clear. I'm no professional but that's the general route I've taken in the past, based on what I've learnt. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong folks!
