I've always been told that 2400rpm is the best revs for the DSG launch control on the K03 engine, but that you can launch up to 3000rpm if you mash the throttle into the carpet
yesterday i tried this, and it wouldn't rev past 2600rpm - what's the matter do we reckon?
-
could the engine/oil not have been 100% warmed up? defence mechanism maybe?
-
it was warm. i wouldn't dare launch it cold
-
Did you have it in D mode rather than S mode?
D mode only revs to circa 2600 rpm does it not?
-
i only launch in manual
you can't launch in D anyway, only S and manual
-
My car also does this then just leve the pedal and rev it up (like in pump you foot)
